Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
